When can a customer start using the voice service after making an application for it?

We will perform the necessary settings and make the service available to the customer as soon as we receive the Koç.net Phone Agreement signed by the customer.

How will our number be displayed when we make an international call?

Koç.net sends the Caller ID information to the other operator intact, i.e. without any modification or filtering. It is up to the operator there if the Caller ID information is provided intact or not.

In voicevpn or Biri service the calling number will be displayed in every call when the number has been arranged by Koc.net or the number has been ported to Koc.net.

What is the Type A license for Fixed Telephone Service received by Koç.net, and what features does it include?

Type A FTS license means an FTS operator authorized to provide services through a carrier pre-selection.

Carrier Pre-Selection means subscribers may select a carrier to receive services (an FTS operator) in advance so that they will not be required to dial a carrier selection code.

Type A FTS operators must provide access to all provinces and countries.

Type A FTS operators can also enjoy the same rights as Type B and C FTSoperators upon request without any extra payment for such authorization.

Where will you provide service?

Koç.net subscribers across Turkey will be able to make economical phone calls to all national, international and mobile phone numbers.

Which numbers can be used in Koc.net Service?

With Koc.net VoiceVPN service the numbers can be assigned from the geographic and nongeographic number blocks that are assigned to Koc.net. According to corporate customers requirements, a number that has been already used in another telephony company can be ported to Koc.net and VoiceVPN service can be used.

The numbers from the nongeographic number blocks that are arranged to Koc.net are used in residential phone service that is provided with Biri service.

How are the incoming phone calls working that terminates to the arranged numbers by Koc.net ?

The numbers that have been arranged to Koc.net and the numbers that have been ported to Koc.net are forwarded to Koc.net. Koc.net will handle the incoming calls from other operators and will send them over customers PBX or client over the voice path that provides the connection.

As in outgoing calls, DTMF and fax features are supported besides main calling features in incoming calls.

Which technology is used in Koç.net Voice Services?

We provide phone service using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Koç.net uses a customized MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) technology to achieve a high quality in carrying voice on its infrastructure. Koç.net is Turkey's first and the world's 5th company to use the MPLS technology.

How can I make my phone calls through Koç.net?

You have 2 options to make your calls:

1. Koç.net Voice VPN Service:

Using the data connection you have received from Koç.net, or

2. 2.Phone service over Biri ADSL:

Using the ADSL service that you received from Koc.net, or

3. Selectable Phone Service:

You can use Koç.net access numbers to make your calls from any fixed phone.

What are the infrastructure requirements to receive Koç.net Voice VPN Service?

You should have a leased line, MetroEthernet or SDSL connection to Koç.net. telephony service is provided in 3 ways as A,B and C types.A type Selectable Telephony Service :
A type Selectable Telephony Service:
In option A the telephone line is redirected to Koc.net within the redirection in Turk Telekom for local traffic,national and international calls. After this redirection without making any change and without any operation during the call all of the calls can be established over Koc.net with the advantageous tariffs of Koc.net.
B type Selectable Telephony Service:
In B type service, redirection is not done in Turk Telekom switch. Instead, while making the call prefix 1056 will be added to the called number by the client PBX. If there is no PBX, 1056 will be dialed by user manually. In B type service, billing will be done with the advantageous tariffs of Koc.net.
C type Selectable Telephony Service:
In C type service the user will first call the Koc.net access number. The user will need to dial the pin codes for different scenarios by following the announcements. The C type service can be used by following below methods

What should I do to receive Selectable Phone Service?

You can use Koç.net Phone Services from any phone and/or exchange. The following extra features provided by the telephone exchange can make the use of Koç.net Phone Service more practical.
Exchanges with automatic call forwarding feature: Organizations having a new generation telephone exchange can make national and international calls at reduced rates directly via Koç.net backbone following just a simple setting.
This setting ensures that whenever a user dials a "pre-defined number to obtain a line from the exchange", the phone number called by the user is held by the exchange to dial the Koç.net access number first and then transmit the phone number dialed by the user to Koç.net. You can contact us to obtain detailed information about these settings.
Telephone exchanges with no automatic call forwarding:
There are 2 types of solution:

1. Caller ID
Your number(s) can be set at our telephone exchange so that calls originating from this/these number(s) are allowed direct access via Koç.net without requiring user code and PIN.

2. Koç.net user code and PIN number
You can make your international, national and mobile calls by dialing first 0811 256 2 562 and then your user code and PIN, followed by the number you are calling.

Which equipment can be used to use the phone service?

Routers with Voice Support:

  • Cisco175-V1 or above Cisco routers with voice support
  • Voice gateways
  • (May be used with a router supporting QoS.)

Would a company receiving Koç.net phone services benefit from having its phone number registered in Koç.net systems?

Yes, having the company number registered in our system increases ease of use. As a result, when you dial the access number, the system recognizes you, and does not ask for user code or PIN. After dialing the access number, you can directly make the call.

Can I call mobile phone numbers under phone services?

Yes, we have made agreements with Turkcell, Telsim and Avea, which means you can make calls via Koç.net at favorable rates.

Can I call any overseas mobile phone number?

Yes, you can call any overseas mobile phone number at very favorable rates. The rates for calls to overseas mobile phone numbers are separately specified in our tariffs.

Can I also send faxes while using Koç.net Phone Services? Which number is displayed during fax transmission?

Koç.net Selectable Phone Services also include fax calls. They are charged according to the same tariff under Koç.net Phone services. Koç.net does not have any settings to hide the customer's Caller ID. Your number will be displayed as sender of the fax if the other networks carrying and terminating the fax transmission also support Caller ID.

Yes, fax calls can also be made as economical as phone calls.

Do you have a subscription fee or a fixed charge?

Koç.net Phone Services has no subscription fee or fixed charge.

AGREEMENT & PAYMENTS

How shall I pay?

You can pay your bills from your credit card account automatically or by wire transfer as specified in the agreement.

Shall I have an itemized bill?

Subscribers can receive itemized bills if requested in their agreement.

What is the payment date?

Payments should be made on 25 of each month

Can I terminate the agreement anytime I like?

You can terminate the agreement after paying the last calls you have made.

Can the agreement provisions be amended? Can I request changes that are more suitable for me?

Koç.net Phone Service Subscription Agreement is a standard communication service agreement which has been prepared to protect consumer rights and approved by the Telecommunications Authority. Therefore, the agreement provisions cannot be amended according to specific circumstances of individuals or organizations. All users shall be notified of any amendments that might be made as a result of any future developments.

Do the rates include VAT and SCT?

The tariff rates do not include VAT (18%) and Special Communications Tax (15%) applicable to telecommunication services.

How can I view my itemized voice service bill?

You can view all your itemized voice service bills using JetFatura at www.jetfatura.koc.net or www.jetfatura.com. If you are an authorized representative of your company, please fax your email address and signature circular to 0216 556 31 71 to receive your password to use this free service.
